From Times Wire Reports

Negotiations in New York on bringing North Korea into proposed four-party talks on a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula were adjourned and will resume Friday, the chief U.S. negotiator said. The New York talks included delegations from the United States, North Korea and South Korea. North Korea’s negotiator said there had been “encouraging progress.” A year ago, the U.S. and South Korea proposed the four-party talks, which would include China, to replace the Korean War armistice with a peace treaty.
