THE STORY OF A QUEEN: Dorene Ludwig will perform in the title role of “Isabella: More Than Columbus” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Emerson Unitarian Church, 7304 Jordan Ave., Canoga Park. The presentation recounts Queen Isabella’s involvement in the Spanish Inquisition, the expulsion of the Jews and her marriage to King Ferdinand. Ludwig is president and artistic director of American Living History Theater, a professional company founded in 1975 that is dedicated to American historical and literary characters and events. SPECIAL VISIT: Bishop Daniel Arichea, a United Methodist Church bishop in the Philippines, will be the guest preacher at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5619 Lindley Ave., Tarzana. The bishop, who served as a translation consultant for the United Bible Societies of Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia, and as regional translation coordinator for Asia, has also written four handbooks for translators. MEDITATING ON IMAGINATION: The Taurus Festival of Wesak, the second in a series of three Linked Spring Meditation Festivals held by The Los Angeles InterGroup, will be held at 7:45 p.m. Monday in the Friendship Auditorium, 3201 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles. The free public program with the theme of “Imagine, One Humanity,” will include music performed by Phyllis Neiderer of Light, Love and Power Company, a candle-lighting ritual and a meditation period. CELEBRATING WITH MUSIC: Woodland Hills Church is celebrating its 50th anniversary by presenting the musical “The Wiz,” based on Frank L.
