Sunstone Buys Hotel

SAN CLEMENTE — Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc., a real estate investment trust, said Wednesday it has agreed to acquired the 300-unit Fountain Suites Hotel complex in Sacramento from Washington Plaza Associates and C.T.S. Hotel Properties for $16.8 million.

Sunstone plans to renovate the hotel and change it to a Hawthorn Suites Hotel with 268 suites, including 32 two-room suites.
