WASHINGTON — The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it would offer its Tropical Storm Watch page on the World Wide Web on May 30, just in time for the beginning of the 1997 hurricane season.
The page, now in its third year, has proved enormously successful, enabling people in hurricane-prone regions to track storms heading their way.
The FEMA Web site (https://www.fema.gov) offers hurricane preparedness information, fact sheets, maps and links to other sites with weather satellite images and forecasts.
