The American Guild of Organists Orange Chapter has awarded three local organists scholarships. Sunny Kim, 32, of Norwalk and Jeff Ehmsen, 18, of Villa Park, each received $400. Nicole Roman, 20, of La Mirada, received $200. Kim studies with Esther Jones at Concordia University in Irvine. Ehmsen studies privately with Marty Ann Bauer of Orange. Roman studies with David McVey at Whittier College. All three will play a free concert June 17 at 8 p.m. at the Concordia University Center, 1530 Concordia West, Irvine.

Three Orange Coast College dance faculty members have been nominated for the 1996 Lester Horton Dance Awards, to be presented June 20 at the Japan America Theatre in Los Angeles. The nominees include Karen Shanley, dance department chairwoman; Linda Sohl-Donnell, artistic director of Rhapsody in Taps; and Lilia Llorens, flamenco and classical Spanish dance teacher. The awards are sponsored by the Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles.
