2 Chicago Cops Indicted

CHICAGO —
Two Chicago police officers were arrested Thursday and charged with robbing a grocery store of cash and fireworks while making a show of apprehending the owner for selling illegal fireworks, prosecutors said. A federal grand jury indicted five-year police veteran Arcenio Cruz and six-year veteran Alex Sierra for conspiracy to commit robbery in the June 1994 incident. Both officers were released on their own recognizance pending trial.
