Israeli warplanes attacked suspected guerrilla hide-outs Tuesday in southern Lebanon, killing two farmers, Lebanese security officials said. Hezbollah militants hinted at suicide bombings inside Israel to avenge the deaths Monday of four of their comrades.

A third civilian was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb--apparently planted by guerrillas--went off in the Israeli-occupied south, the security officials said.

At a funeral for the four guerrillas killed Monday by Israeli commandos, a Hezbollah official indicated that the Shiite Muslim militants would seek vengeance inside Israel.

“Israel will never have peace of mind,” Sheik Naim Kassem declared in the southern city of Nabatiyeh.

Hezbollah has denied any link to the two suicide bombings last week that killed 15 people in a Jerusalem market.
