Feeding Needy: Today marks 10 years for the Frontline Foundation of Van Nuys and more than 587,000 bag lunch deliveries for Ray Castellani, above. A former actor and skid row resident, he started the charitable food kitchen in December 1987. Thanks to private donors and volunteers, Castellani and his wife, Noreen, provide thousands of bag lunches per month. “I believe, after all this time, that it’s a miracle,” Castellani said. “I sit in wonderment.”
