Yeltsin, at Resort, Is Said to Have No Fever
President Boris N. Yeltsin remained confined to a health resort, recuperating from a viral respiratory infection two days after being hospitalized, officials said. Yeltsin was reportedly working with documents as his countrymen enjoyed the national Constitution Day holiday. Doctors saw Yeltsin and described his health as satisfactory, officials at the Kremlin said. The president’s temperature returned to normal after running slightly high for two days, they said, all speaking on condition of anonymity. The Kremlin press service said Yeltsin might go for strolls over the weekend in the frosty Moscow weather “if his temperature remains stable.” Temperatures in the capital today are expected to rise into the upper teens.
