Radio Investing Advisor Surrenders in Fraud Case

SEATTLE — A radio real-estate advisor surrendered to authorities, almost a week after he disappeared and left a note admitting he embezzled more than $100,000 from clients.
Michael T. Martin, 43, had been sought for fraud via radio. He turned himself in on Sunday, the FBI said.
“The Real Estate and Money Show with Michael Martin,” his syndicated Sunday morning radio program, has been carried on the Armed Forces Radio Network and 39 stations across the country.
On his show, Martin dispensed advice to callers and promoted his own real estate investments.
But in a note he left for his bookkeeper before disappearing last week, he said: “My little investment programs have turned into full-time disasters.”
