First, the good news for allergy sufferers: One of the worst seasons in years is about over. “This was probably the most active pollen season we’ve had,” said Dr. Michael Roberts, an allergy specialist for 18 years in the Valley. Pollen counts--boosted by a dearth of late winter rains that usually keep them down--are finally declining. Now, the bad news: “The heat of summer brings its own problem--rotten air quality--that’s an irritant to many people with allergies.”
