SPLASH TONIGHT

Share

Opponent--Seattle SeaDogs

Site--KeyArena

Time--7

Records--Splash 3-2, SeaDogs 6-0.

Splash update--The Splash has won two in a row and, most importantly, should have injured midfielders Danny Barber (hamstring, missed two games) and Paul McDonnell (ankle, three games) back in the lineup. Barber said the time off was good--it gave him a chance to watch reserves like Brian Irvin remind him of what it’s like to hustle on every play. Irvin (three assists), Mathew Davis (goal) and defender Matt West played big roles in a recent 8-4 victory over Arizona. Bernie Lilavois has scored at least two points in each game; he has eight goals and three assists. The Splash play four more games against Seattle, including three of its next six games.

SeaDog update--Seattle is the buzz of the league with its 6-0 start. Most impressive is that the first five victories came on the road. The Splash is one team hoping for some payback after losing to the SeaDogs at the Pond, 9-6. It’s the one game Splash player/coach Dale Ervine says got away from them. John Olu Molomo had six points, including four goals, in the first meeting, and Jean Harbor had three power-play goals.
