Names Policy Helps Preserve Privacy

I applaud your paper’s position on revealing the identities of juvenile suspects, as explained by Editor Bill Overend on July 6 (“Justice Not Served by Naming Names.”)

It is my opinion that the media of today do way too much intruding into people’s tragedies with the motive of gaining market share rather than providing valuable information to the public.

I agree with Overend that young lives can be changed and, unless the public good is served, let’s not force people to suffer their tragedies publicly.
