The oldest brother of a Pakistani man charged with killing two CIA employees has been granted a visa to come to the United States.

State Department officials said Hamidullah Kansi, 43, and Kansi family attorney Amjad Rashid were issued tourist visas June 26 by the U.S. Consulate in Islamabad.

Mir Aimal Kansi, 33, is charged with shooting the two CIA workers and wounding three others in an attack outside the agency’s headquarters in 1993. Kansi’s lawyers have said they want Hamidullah Kansi to help prepare a defense for his brother, due to go on trial Nov. 3.
