Rockwell Extends Contract With Burlington

Burlington Air Express said Monday that it received a five-year extension of its contract from Rockwell International Corp. for international heavyweight shipping and logistics management.

The contract is part of Burlington’s more than $20-million-a-year air freight business with Rockwell.

The new pact gives Burlington, a unit of Pittson Co., exclusive rights to Rockwell’s domestic and international heavyweight air freight, ocean services, customs brokerage, warehousing information systems integration and logistics management.

Burlington has been carrying freight for Rockwell for almost 20 years.
