Allergan to Sell Facility in Italy

IRVINE — Allergan Inc. said Thursday it has agreed to sell its ophthalmic pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Pomezia, Italy, to a management team there.
Allergan will also sell certain ophthalmic pharmaceutical products to the management team led by Emidio Fedeli, currently operations director of Allergan S.p.A.
The sale is part an effort by Allergan to streamline operations. After the sale, the new company will be called Tubilux Pharma S.p.A. and will continue to manufacture ophthalmic pharmaceutical products for Allergan under a supply agreement, as well as market its own range of ophthalmic pharmaceutical products.
