Bullfrog update--General Manager Bob Destocki continues to work on signing two more members of Canada’s national team. One is Glen Metropolit, who belongs to New Jersey. An announcement on the other player may come early next week, sources say. Former Bullfrog defenseman Daniel Shank was expected to visit the team Saturday night in St. Louis, according to Bullfrog President Stuart Silver. But chances of trading for Shank, who has been sitting out because of bruised ribs, are slim, the Bullfrogs admit. Shank plays for Orlando, the defending Murphy Cup champion.

Blades update--Returning to the lineup from Canada’s national team are Doug Ast and Steve Wilson. The front-running Blades have dropped two in a row. The Bullfrogs have not beaten the Blades in regulation in four meetings this year. The Blades have out-scored the Bullfrogs, 31-22, in those games. The rivals play a sixth and final game Thursday at the Forum.
