12 Killed, 50 Hurt in Train Collision

At least 12 people died and 50 were injured when two passenger trains smashed into one another on the outskirts of the capital, New Delhi, officials said. K.K. Gupta, a senior railway manager in charge of rescue operations, said the speeding Karnataka Express, running 12 hours late, had overshot a stop signal and rammed into the slower-moving Himsagar Express.
