Phone Book Recycling Program Is Underway
The Costa Mesa Sanitary District and the city of Costa Mesa are asking residents to participate in America Recycles Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, by dropping off their outdated Pacific Bell white pages for recycling.
Collection bins are at most schools in Costa Mesa. A complete list of locations is available by calling the Recycling Hotline: (714) 754-5600.
The bins will be available through Dec. 31.
Outdated phone directories have many uses as a recyclable, including being used to produce the next year’s directories and utility bill mailing envelopes.
