Spotlight: IRS to Meet With Taxpayers Over Complaints

Share

The Internal Revenue Service has begun its most visible response yet to taxpayer complaints with “problem-solving days.” Starting Saturday in 33 cities, including Los Angeles and Laguna Niguel, the agency is holding taxpayer meetings at its offices to give citizens an opportunity to talk to IRS employees with the aim of handling at least some problems on the spot. The agency hopes to send a message of a new commitment to personal attention. Appointments aren’t required.
