Midtown Council to Meet Thursday

The Midtown Ventura Community Council has scheduled a meeting Thursday night at Grace Baptist Church, 65 MacMillan Ave.

The council will receive a presentation from police on holiday safety and an update on the community resource center storefront proposed for Thompson Boulevard.

There will also be a notice of upcoming midtown council elections and a report on the status of the still-shuttered Washington School. An update on the Jameson School’s plan to relocate to Main Street in midtown will also be presented.

The midtown council addresses the interests and concerns of residents and businesses in the area bounded by Crimea Street and Sanjon Road on the west, the Ventura Freeway on the south, the hillside to the north, and Mills Road on the east. For more information, call 662-2514.
