Aloha Sharkeez, 52 Pier Ave., (310) 374-7823. Hermosa’s answer to ticky-tacky Hawaii. Located in the old Pier 52 site, this hula hut-style restaurant-bar televises pro football, serves up Mexican fare with a deejay on Taco Tuesdays, and on Friday and Saturday night offers a deejay spinning dance tunes. 21 and over. Tabasco Charleyz, 1532 Hermosa Ave., (310) 372-2194. Where the music is hot ‘n’ spicy. Wednesday’s open-mike music night draws many up-and-coming bands; Thursday through Saturday an eclectic mix of live bands take the stage; on Sundays it’s an all-reggae scene. 21 and over after 10 p.m. No cover.
