Prop. 13

There’s one more problem that Peter King left out of his commentary on Prop. 13 (“Where Did Elvis Stand on Prop. 13?” Nov 12). He fails to point out a fundamental flaw in the law which allows subsidized taxation. As a recently relocated homeowner, I pay a higher rate of property tax than my long-term neighbors. These neighbors receive the same local and county services that I do, only at a lower tax rate. I support the notion that everybody should pay his fair share.
