The Times’ Nov. 15 editorial regarding “politics of spleen” was incisive and to the point. However, your accounting of some of the real problems facing the state, including the transportation system, financially impoverished local governments, the burgeoning prison population, etc., did not include the problem of immigration. No matter how one views the challenges facing this state, immigration, both legal and illegal, is a major causal factor contributing to the severity of the aforementioned problems.
