Assault Gun Ban

* Re “Rush Approval of Assault Gun Imports Alleged,” Nov. 13:

Is there a better illustration of the Clinton administration’s hatred of private gun ownership than the citation of a White House official strangling an ATF agent for complying with import laws? And protestations that their policy review “should not have been a secret to anyone” conveniently bypass the fact that “for weeks” the administration kept its activities hidden from 250 million citizens whose rights are at stake.

But in a perverse way, this seems fitting. After all, how can you trust people who are deemed morally and intellectually incapable of firearms ownership with information about the machinations of the public servants whom they employ?
