Replica of Vietnam Wall Making Southland Visit

Share

American soldiers who died in Vietnam will be commemorated this week as a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall makes a stop in Hawthorne.

The Moving Wall is a smaller version of the V-shaped black granite wall in Washington and bears the names of the 58,202 Americans who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. The black aluminum replica travels around the nation so that people who cannot travel to Washington can commemorate those who lost their lives in the war.

The Moving Wall will be on display until 4 p.m. Friday at the Edison Substation Park in Hawthorne located on Marine Avenue between Aviation and Redondo Beach boulevards.
