Household Toxic Waste to Be Accepted Dec. 6
Most county residents will have a chance to discard household hazardous waste next month when Oxnard holds a toxics drop-off day.
Oxnard’s free household hazardous waste drop-off Dec. 6 will be open to all county residents except those who live in Camarillo. Household toxics such as cleaners, oil- and water-based paint and paint solvents may be dropped off.
In addition, the program also accepts aerosol cans and chemicals used in gardens, pools and automobiles.
Appointments are required, and the limit per appointment is 125 pounds or 15 gallons of materials. But residents may make as many appointments as necessary to ensure that their home is free of potentially harmful chemicals.
