Senior Center Invites Public to Visit Clients
Frail elderly clients of the Acacia Adult Day Services Center will celebrate their first holiday season in the agency’s new home on Acacia Street this season.
The center, which operates with staff and volunteers, provides activities and a meeting spot for elderly people living with family in Garden Grove and surrounding communities.
Organizers annually throw a holiday party, with Dec. 24 set for this year’s fete. Volunteers are needed to bake cookies, serve the clients and entertain the 30 seniors served daily through the center. Carolers are always a welcome addition to the day, executive director Mallory Vega said.
Community members are welcome to visit with Acacia’s seniors throughout the year, but Vega said the holidays provide a special opportunity.
The center is at 11391 Acacia Parkway.
