AIDS Services Seeking Help With Gift Baskets

Share

In an effort to provide some holiday cheer, AIDS Services will reach out to its clients by delivering about 650 gift baskets for Christmas.

David Armendariz, director of volunteer services and communications, said the group depends on donations to fill the baskets.

“Items we are short on this year are votive candles, small teddy bears, small, canned hams and gift certificates for books, music or videos,” Armendariz said.

The center accepts cash donations and is in need of volunteers, especially Dec. 12 to 14, to help assemble and deliver the baskets, he said.

The organization, at 171981 Sky Park Circle, Suite J, helps people learn to live with the challenges of HIV and AIDS, and it provides assistance with food, transportation and housing.
