Your readers may be interested to know that developer Jerry Katell, owner of Warner Ridge, adjacent to Pierce College farm, has been appointed by Pierce College President E. Bing Inocencio to be one of the community representatives on the Pierce College facilities master plan steering committee. I am appalled that a person with such an obvious conflict of interest would be appointed to the committee that will define plans for future development of the entire Pierce campus and its land resources. The community has made it very clear to Inocencio that it is determined to revitalize the agriculture and natural resources programs and seek a solution to the current under-utilization of a unique, irreplaceable educational resource.

It seems we have a fox or two guarding the henhouse.
