Anti-Intellectual
Re “The Fountain of New Ideas Sprouts From the Right,” Sept. 26: William Raspberry quotes Charles Bray on the entry of new ideas into the American intellectual bloodstream. Excuse me? Intellectual bloodstream? Americans are the most anti-intellectual mass of stuff ever ejected from the ooze.
A truly new idea would be the non-ideological assessment of issues, not the narrow, self-serving stuff now spewing from all sides of the political pit.
