Granatelli Lubricants Gets Trademark From China

J.T. Granatelli Lubricants in Camarillo has received approval from the Chinese government to sell its line of petroleum-based products.
As a part of this approval, the Chinese government issued Granatelli its own symbol, which is the equivalent to a United States trademark. The symbol notifies the Chinese consumer that the government has tested the product and found that it performs as promoted.
Upon receiving the symbol, Granatelli was able to obtain an agreement with Tang Industries of Oak Grove, Ill., to be the authorized agent for the product line in China. Tang Industries, which produces processed-steel products, has several production facilities in China.
The entry into China corresponds with Granatelli’s name change from Granatelli Performance Products to J.T. Granatelli Lubricants Inc. The board of directors, in announcing the change, said the new name is more closely identified with the intended market for the products.
The company produces engine oil treatment and penetrating oil, automatic transmission treatment, lithium grease, synthetic motor oil, gas treatment and diesel treatment.
