Environment Topic for Series of Lectures

The Orange County Natural History Assn. is presenting an ongoing lecture series highlighting environmental concerns.

The focus of the organization is to keep residents informed about Orange County’s environmental concerns as well as provide ways to help preserve the community’s natural habitats.

This month, Bill Tidell of the county’s environmental agency will discuss how to identify invasive non-native plants and control their growth and destructive effect on native plant life. His lecture will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the ballroom of the Sea Country Community Center, 24062 Aliso Creek Road, Laguna Niguel.

Naturalist Jim Ligoretti will present a study on the breaking up of the county’s sage scrub habitats on Nov. 11.
