Heart & Sole Classic to Benefit Heart Assn.

Walk, run or cheer someone else on at the 17th Annual Heart & Sole Classic on Oct. 26 at the Irvine Spectrum Entertainment Center.

Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., the 10K fun run begins at 8 a.m., the 5K fun walk/run at 8:15 a.m. and the 1K kids fun run at 9:45 a.m.

A food and entertainment area will be set up from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will be held rain or shine; water stations will be along each course, and first aid will be available. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Assn.

Participants can register as an individual or form a corporate team. Individuals and teams collect pledges, with prizes given to the top individual fund-raisers.
