Cassini Launch

Share

Regarding Cassini: It is the height of arrogance by NASA to have endangered the health and lives of millions of Earth’s inhabitants with deadly plutonium in a possible explosion on launch or--the most dangerous point in the mission--a fly-by in 1999. And all this simply to understand, through the study of Saturn, our changing environment and the primordial Earth.

What’s so shameful is that there are safe solar programs designed or being designed for deep space missions. How dare American companies, and the Department of Energy’s nuclear laboratories, put our lives at risk. Should we listen to the NASA scientists, or rather to outspoken nuclear physicists such as Michio Kaku and John Gofman, warning us of the inherent dangers in such a foolish undertaking? There is nothing left to do now but pray.
