Two new cookbooks are in the stores this year from Evan Kleiman. “Angeli Caffe: Pizza, Pasta, Panini” (Morrow, $23) reveals most of the now-classic recipes that have kept Kleiman’s Melrose Avenue restaurant popular since its opening in 1984. “Pizzeria: The Best of Casual Pizza Oven Cooking” (Sunset Books, $19.95), part of Sunset’s Casual Cuisines of the World series, is full of recipes that would be served in a pizzeria, from antipasti to dessert, with plenty of pizza in between.

Look for Evan Kleiman at the Los Angeles Times Cooking Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday during the Los Angeles Garden Show at the L.A. County Arboretum. See schedule below for details.
