Ast’s Goal Makes Difference, 5-4

Doug Ast scored with 1:03 left in the game Wednesday night to lift the Long Beach Ice Dogs to a 5-4 victory over the Manitoba Moose before an announced crowd of 5,479.

Andrei Vasilyev scored two goals and had an assist for the Ice Dogs (6-5-1) and Victor Ignatjev had a season-high four assists.

The Moose (3-4) scored on only one of six power-play chances.
