* Carol Wright, a 20-year employee of American Commercial Bank, has been named vice president and manager of the new Camarillo branch. Working with her are Richard Molina, assistant manager; Mary Morgan-Riffel, operations officer; Denise Miller, administrative assistant; Lauretta Haley, new accounts, and Melissa Boisvert and Gaby Espinosa, customer service representatives.

The branch began as a loan center a year ago and was operating out of a trailer. It is now a full-service branch at the former Bank of A. Levy site on Ventura Boulevard.

* Kevin Burnett has been promoted to director of advertising and creative services for Pleasant Holidays, a Westlake travel company serving Hawaii, Mexico and Tahiti. He began his career with Pleasant Holidays as a graphic designer in 1982 and became the company’s first art director in 1985.

In his new position, Burnett is responsible for day-to-day operations of Pleasant Holidays’ $15-million-a-year in-house advertising agency.

* Jim Barroca has been hired as director of governmental affairs for the Ventura County Coastal Assn. of Realtors. He will be in charge of monitoring federal and state legislation affecting the real estate industry, as well as local legislative meetings.

Barroca formerly was executive vice president of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce.

* Bob Bernstein was promoted to senior vice president of public relations at Universal Music Group, the company said.

Bernstein was hired as vice president of public relations for Universal Music Group in 1995. Previously, Bernstein worked for Hard Rock Cafe International, EMI Music and Dennis Davidson Associates in similar positions.
