Foster Farms officials hope to get poultry production back to normal by late this week after employees returned to work following a two-week strike. Hundreds of employees who agreed to a new contract last week returned Monday to the nation’s largest poultry-processing plant, which is in Livingston. “We’ll get our production back to 100%, but it’s not going to happen instantly,” said Randy Boyce, Foster Farms vice president and general counsel. “It could be sometime this week.” Paperwork slowed production the first few hours workers were back, he added. “This has been a crazy day, getting everyone processed and back into the plant,” Boyce said.
