Danish Bishops OK Same-Sex Marriages

COPENHAGEN —
Bishops of the state Lutheran Church unanimously approved same-sex marriages Tuesday but said the church will not allow separate marriage ceremonies for the couples.
The ruling means that gay and lesbian couples in Denmark could have their marriages sealed as a part of regular church services.
The Lutheran clergy have been deeply divided over the issue since 1989.
