Community Invited to Meetings on City’s Future
City leaders are urging residents and business owners to attend community meetings to discuss the future of Long Beach.
City Manager James C. Hankla said the opinions of residents, merchants and community organization leaders are important voices as the city takes the first steps toward developing an updated strategic plan.
“Community participation is vital for our strategic plan to be meaningful,” Hankla said. “We look forward to receiving their opinions on the direction for our city and their assessment on how we are doing in providing needed services.”
The next meeting will be held tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Long Beach City Hall Council Chambers at 333 West Ocean Blvd. Call (562) 570-6711 for meeting times and places for November.
