Alyn Corp.: The Irvine producer of metal matrix composite materials said it lost $1.9 million, or 18 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $833,000, or 10 cents a share, for the 1996 third quarter. Revenue rose to $78,000 from $22,000. For the nine months, Alyn reported a net loss of $4.3 million, or 40 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.3 million, or 16 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue climbed to $332,000 from $158,000.
