Interlink Electronics Ships New Input Device

Share

Interlink Electronics in Camarillo has started shipping VersaPad, its next-generation input device, to Price Costco and Circuit City stores throughout the United States.

Company officials said shipments will go to other stores in the coming weeks.

This version of VersaPad has several new features, Interlink officials said. For the first time, users can draw or write on the touch pad, capture the image and place it directly into e-mail and other documents. This can be done with a stylus, pen or even a fingertip.

“PC/Computing magazine, in its September 1997 issue, recognized Interlink’s VersaPad as its first choice in PC input devices,” said E. Michael Thoben, chairman, chief executive officer and president.

The recommended price for VersaPad is $69.95.

Interlink, which has offices in Camarillo and Tokyo, develops and manufactures computer-pointing devices, including desktop “mice,” built-in keyboard pointing devices and hand-held remote controls with mouse functionality.
