Diana Condolence Messages Still Coming

Almost 1,000 people have written messages in a book of condolences offered at a candlelight vigil last Friday for Princess Diana.
About 760 people wrote in the book at the vigil, according to Beth Leeds, who organized the memorial, and another 220 have signed it since then.
“People are still calling me to be able to sign it,” Leeds said Thursday. “The messages came from everyone’s heart.” She plans to send the book to St. James Palace in London on Monday.
People stood in line for up to three hours at the vigil to enter their thoughts about the late princess in the book. The written memorials came from residents of Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties. Police estimated that 1,000 people attended the memorial.
