Lots of people think cats can see in the dark. But that’s not the case. In fact, a cat’s vision is not as keen as that of a human being. Cats’ eyes are very good at detecting motion, though, and that helps them to be good hunters. And they see well in dim light. Cats also have an excellent sense of smell and keen hearing that can detect a much broader range of sounds than humans can hear. There’s one exception: White cats with blue eyes often are deaf.
