Some Quality Time With Others in Our Human Family

The focus of the news is primarily on events of a negative nature: disaster, death, destruction and despair feeds the media beast. And yet most of our society functions fairly well--sometimes by legislation, most often by agreement.

This is not news and rarely reported, so it is of particular pleasure that The Times has been running a series on the travels of the Sipchen family across America, an odyssey of agreement among the adults and children of the Sipchen clan.

With humor, realism, respect and a dash of discomfort, Bob Sipchen--an excellent writer who never lets the effort show--shares the very human experiences of RVing the roads along with his wife and children. No disasters, just dimensional non-celebrity, everyday events that are always interesting and life affirming. Thank you for running this series.
