First American in Buy

First American Financial Corp. said Tuesday it agreed to acquire Data Tree Corp., a database management and document imaging company, in a stock swap. Specific terms weren’t disclosed.

In a press release Tuesday, First American said each Data Tree share will be converted into the right to receive First American stock. First American, the nation’s largest title insurer, expects to close the deal within two months.

Data Tree will become part of First American Real Estate Solutions LLC, which is 80%-owned by First American and 20%-owned by Experian Group.
