A rock is a rock is a rock. Right? Wrong. Look closely. Every rock is unique, with different colors, textures and shapes. These characteristics help tell geologists about the earth’s history. Last year, NASA sent a robot named Sojourner to Mars to take pictures of rocks. Scientists are analyzing these pictures to unravel some of Mars’ mysteries.
