Boeing Puts Rocket Men in New Seats

* Mike Kennedy has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president for the Boeing Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle and Delta IV programs in Huntington Beach. He was previously vice president for Delta III. Boeing also named Dan Collins program director for Delta III and Jay Witzling vice president, Delta II and Titan programs.

* Taylor MacDonald has joined State of the Art Inc., an Irvine software provider, as vice president of partner development. MacDonald had been with MacDonald Consulting Group in Atlanta, a financial software consulting firm that has been State of the Art’s top producing reseller organization for five of the last six years.

* Peter Shambora has joined MTI Technology Corp. in Anaheim as a senior vice president of sales, with management responsibility for the Western United States, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, he was vice president of sales and marketing at Mylex Corp. in Fremont.

* Scott DeFord has been named vice president and area manager for the U.S. Western and Asia-Pacific regions for Industri-Matematik International Corp., a provider of supply chain management software. DeFord opened the Western region office in Irvine three years ago.

* Van M. Andrews has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Admor Memory Corp. in Irvine. Andrews had been with Toshiba America, serving in various positions, including vice president and general manager of Toshiba America’s Computer Systems division. He has also been Midwest regional manager for Panasonic Office Automation Group and director of field sales for Epson America.

* Lee Jacobson has joined Virgin Interactive, an Irvine publisher and developer of computer and video games, as director of business development. Scott Maples, formerly director of legal affairs, is now vice president of business affairs. Steve Sardegna has been named vice president of finance. He had been vice president, controller. Virgin Interactive is a subsidiary of Spelling Entertainment Group Inc.

* Lori Snow has been appointed vice president, product marketing for Ingram Micro Inc., a wholesale distributor of technology products and services in Santa Ana. She succeeds Amy Hoffman, who is leaving the company after nine years. Snow had been senior director, product marketing and general manager, technical products division.

* Dave Crawford has been appointed vice president of U.S. sales for Kingston Technology, a Fountain Valley computer products company. He joined Kingston last year as an area director.

* Mark Hampton has been named general manager for Sports Specialties in Foothill Ranch, responsible for all operations of the Nike Inc. subsidiary. Hampton was most recently a senior vice president at Kellwood Sportswear, and before that, spent seven years with Sara Lee Corp.
