Kiwanis Club to Raise Funds for Children

Hoping to raise at least $10,000 to help fight child abuse, the Santa Susana Kiwanis Club will sell a mile’s worth of bricks in a gesture to symbolize paving a road to a brighter future.

The club’s Build a Mile campaign, which is selling the bricks for $1 each, will culminate April 26 with a children’s fair where the sponsors’ bricks will be laid out in a pathway.

The fair, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mountaingate Plaza on Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley, will include food, contests and family activities.
